2026 has been a fantastic year for punk rock and the new Fake Names album is one of the best things I’ve heard ove the past few months!
You know who Fake Names are made up of and they deliver this cool as fuck album called Punk Ruins!
For your money you get twelve tracks and every single one of them different to the last!
Incorporating the DC sound with catchy punk tunes mixed with power-pop hooks you’re drawn into Punk Ruins from the opening moments of Until Normal!
Punk Ruins just gets better with tunes such as the title track Punk Ruins which could be mistaken for a Bad Religion track!
At that point I was jumpin around my front room like a demon possessed and I’m 59 years of age!
The album just gets better with the likes of Cover The Distance, What I Tell Myself, Beautiful Scars and If You Could See Me Today!
You couldn’t wish for a better album!
I was saddened when the closing track Paradise ended – I just wanted to hear more!
Punk Ruins is pretty much faultless and one of the best albums you’re going to hear this year!
On top of some wicked music and vocal delivery the sound is bang on the button!
Don’t take my word for it – Just buy Punk Ruins! 10/10
