Sunday had arrived but it was hit and miss if I was going to make this show due to on-going health issues! However I managed to crawl out my bed to meet Nikki who was coming along with me!
First off we hit Parkfield Central a local bar where they do some amazing food at reasonable prices. Its my go to place when I want a decent vegan meal cooked Indian style.
Lovely meal and company!

On arrival at KK’S I didn’t have long to set up as opening band This House We Built were due on stage.
I’d never heard this Scarborough rock band before so was eagerly waiting to hear what they sounded like!
I wasn’t disappointed when they hit the stage as from the opening moment I loved what This House We Built were all about!
Their catchy rock sound in the vein of Bon Jovi and Europe grabbed my attention! Nikki as well as members of the audience were loving what this band were about!
For thirty minutes they delivered a top set and set the standard for the rest of the evening!

After a chat it was time for Kit Trigg a tidy three-piece rock band who are signed to Earache Records who are home to a huge amount of rock, metal, thrash and indie bands.
Although very different to the opening band this main headline support really delivered the goods both musically and vocally!
The audience seemed to love them and I can’t blame them really!
Again for thirty minutes this band rocked and I’m glad I got to see them play as this will be a band I’ll be checking out further down the line!

The time had arrived and The Hot Damn! hit the stage in style!
I’d been wanting to see this band for a couple of years now as friends kept bending my ear that I should check this all-women band out!
I loved them!
The Hot Damn! infuse glam, rock and punk giving delivering a highly enjoyable and infectious sound that leaves you wanting more!
With wicked songs like Jukebox On The Radio, About Last Night and Loud And Clear this was a band taking no prisoners.
There was just no stopping The Hot Damn! from rocking out KK’s.

Tuner after tune I was wondering where did they get their energy from as Wolverhampton was the last date of their tour!
If playing kick-ass rock n roll wasn’t enough the band had some one dress up in a costume to help with the merch sales and all that!
A cool and fun gimmick!
Fourty-five minutes or so later the show was over but what a show!
Smiles all round and I can safely say this was in the top three shows I’d been to in 2025!
If you’ve not seen or heard The Hot Damn! you really do need to correct that for sure!

Thanks to Talita Jenman of Twoshoes PR for making this happen!
