A few years ago the late Steve ‘Cast Iron’ Smith told me about Jesse Ahern so I checked out his music. I loved the socially aware message and Jesse kinda reminded me of being something between Woody Guthrie, Billy Bragg and Joe Strummer with that Boston sound thrown in!

I had missed Jesse opening up for the Dropkicks last year due to illness so I wanted to see him play at some point. I found out by chance that Jesse was playing Birmingham and arranged an interview with him to talk about his latest tour, album and more!
