After having a bit of a heavy day in Birmingham I downloaded the press release of this album wondering what to expect? After ‘Music Must Destroy’ I didn’t think Ruts DC could better that but I’ve been proven wrong! ‘Counterculture?’ is an eleven track master-piece and I don’t say that lightly! From the opening number ‘Faces In The Sky’ you are treated to some blinding songs which all have their own identity but are as solid as each other. No fillers on this beauty! Just listen to ‘Too Much’ which has a dub bass feel with a more punk guitar sound. It works! My favourite track on this album. However the other ten tracks are up there. Check out ‘The Question Is’ and ‘Poison Games’. Works of art! Production is top notch and the words are delivered with sincerity! This is my favourite album of 2022 for many reasons and I hope you enjoy this album as much as I have reviewing it! 10/10
