Yorkshire rock / metal act Foxhaunt are making a name for themselves and it was great to see they have the confidence to book their own shows with in the UK instead of relying on half hearted promoters.
Despite not being local to Birmingham they pulled a decent crowd at The Flapper bearing in mind there were a few other gigs going off in the area at the same time.
Lovely meeting them too!
Had to rush from the venue at 10.15pm as trains were being cancelled – The Story of my life!

First up were Since 2000 who I’d never heard off before but witnessing this top act strut their alternative sound I want to see more of them!
Their thirty minute set was a winner as the entire band were up for it and the audience who witnessed this blistering set were won over!
One band you need to look out!
They did Glasgow proud!

After spending a little time editing photos upstairs in the venue bar area it was time for another new band to my ears – All Ears Avow!
From the moment Claire and Co hit the stage I knew I was onto a winner!
They describe their sound as ‘Pop Riffs For Emo Kids’ but for me they’re much more than that!
For thirty minutes my ears were treated to some awesome tunes complimented with some of the best female vocals doing the rounds in the UK at present!
At one point I was thinking how are Foxhaunt going to follow on from this?
All Ears Avow release their debut album next month on all formats!

Come 9.30 it was time for Foxhaunt to strut their stuff and they came out all guns blazing with their mind blowing rock / metal / screamo fusion!
Kicking off with Double Tap it was obvious that this Yorkshire based band have something special going as the audience were in awe. In fact I was too!
Tearing into numbers like In Cycles, Separate Me, Ghost and their new song A New Beginning I was witnessing something very special along with the audience who were now fully engaged with Foxhaunt!
Watching these guys play show that rock music is far from dead and the audience wanted more when the band set finished with the awesome number Monster!
The audience wanted more but sadly I had to leave the venue due to trains being cancelled but I left on a high!
What a buzz this show was!
There’s still a couple more dates for Foxhaunt on this current tour so make sure you pop along to see some top guys playing awesome music!

Thanks to Jamie Gibertie at Rage Pr for sorting the show out!
