I’ve sat on this album for a while now and left it until now as my health kinda nose dived and weren’t really up to writing!
Jesse Ahern is one of my favourite artists to come out of America in recent times. Jesse reminds me of a modern day Woody Guthrie with the Boston sound thrown in for good measure!
Mercy is the new album and its the best thing I’ve heard in 2025 so far and I don’t say it lightly either!
As well as Jesse being the main contributor to this album there’s also a number of musicians playing on this album which adds to Mercy’s charm.
The opening track Someday is my favourite track on this album with its catchy tunes and filled with emotion. If that wasn’t enough you’re treated to nine other songs that will draw you in very quickly.
Jesse Ahern is the real deal and if songs like Get Out Of Your Bubble, On The Road, Mercy, Tonight In The City and the closing track Sunshine don’t grab your attention then you don’t deserve to be listening to this album!
Mercy is not a brilliant album musically and lyrically. This album is well produced and it’s one of those albums that will age well!
Go on and give Jesse Ahern a listen – You’ll thank me for sure! 10/10
