Bowling For Soup have been well busy of late and that’s not stopped them releasing a live acoustic album recorded on their acoustic 2022 UK tour!
I’m not usually a fan of bands stripping down their songs but I can safely say this is one hell of a live album. The tunes are there and the production is top notch.
However what makes me dig this album so much is the chatting between the songs which adds to it’s charm. Jaret and Rob bounce off each other and listening to them is comedy gold!
There’s twenty tracks spanning over a hour or so and some of BFS’s better known numbers are featured here including 1985, Girl All The Bad Guys Want, Almost, Ohio, Turbulence, Emily and Punk Rock 101.
Taking The Piss is comedy gold where Jaret jokes about the differences between the USA and UK on the term ‘Taking The Piss’.
Even their cover of Should I Stay Or Should I go is well worth getting your listening gear on the go!
I’m so glad Bowling For Soup are still recording and touring so we get gems like Stoked On Trent!
I don’t think this is available on CD or vinyl but this album is for sale on all the usual on-line music sites for around the £8 mark!
Buy It! 10/10
