I almost had to pull out this gig due to injuries sustained after a recent accident where I had been knocked off my bike by a drunk driver!

However the show must go on and I just about made it to the venue in good time for the first band!

First up were The Masses who are an Indie-Rock band from Birmingham!

I actually enjoyed their set and hope to see them again soon!

While they sounded like a traditional Indie-Rock band they played delivered their set and I was pleasantly surprised by the delivery of the vocals that reminded me of early Cure and early Smiths style vocals.

I’m glad they had an audience as it would have been criminal to ignore them!

After a quick J20 it was time to go and watch Paradise Circus who by their own admission thought that The Masses were a hard act to follow but they managed it with their 90’s Indie sound with elements of latter day Jam and Mega City Four thrown in for good measure!

For thirty minutes they really got the crowd going with some catchy tunes and a vocalist who really delivered in every area!

Paradise Circle so deserved to be on that stage and another band I want to see again very soon!

9.30 soon came and it was time for the main act Little Juke to strut their sound. Like the other two bands I’d never heard of this band either but I didn’t have to wait long until I did!

Tonight these guys were launching their debut album Departures From The Sate Of Mind which sounded fantastic live. I’ll be looking at picking up a vinyl copy soon!

Their sound is hard to pin down as at times they reminded me of an indie-rock band then elements of Cold Play sprang to mind!

What they delivered was something on a different level!

Alex the vocalist, guitarist and keyboard player really had his work cut out! He delivered in style!

What a front person to have in a band!

The rest of the band delivered too and they really played for the packed crowd there who loved every minute where they sang along!

Little Juke really did the business and I can’t to see them again!

Make sure you check them out and look out for their debut album!
