I loved this fanzine in the 80’s where I’d pick up a copy here and there. In fact it was one of the better fanzines about with some pretty decent interviews in! I was actually surprised they were still dong fanzines way after I thought these guys had jacked it in!

Anyhow this book covers Gaz’ and Tony’s story from their school days right through to the present day which also includes playing in bands right through to doing podcasts and running a record shop!

By the name of the fanzine their roots lay in their love for Stiff Little Fingers but all kinds of bands were featured in the fanzine from the likes of one of the my favourite bands ever Blaggers ITA right through to smaller DIY bands like Rotunda!

In fact countless bands have been featured in Suspect Device from DIY Punk stuff right through to pop punk, hardcore, thrash and much more!

Not only that but they’ve also got other people to who were involved with Suspect Device to write pieces as well as the addition of flyers, photos and covers of the fanzine!

If you loved fanzines or just want to learn more about the DIY punk rock culture then this book is certainly for you!

This is a book that is more than just punk rock – Its about friendship that had lasted around 50 years and still is very strong!

Gaz and Tony have done a blinding job here!

I can’t recommend this book enough and those who are reading this who are just getting in to the world of punk rock, fanzines, bands and DIY culture will get so much from this read!
