Its been a long time since this debut release from Bay Area’s most famous Ska/Punk band ‘Rancid‘ has been released! This EP was copied onto a tape and posted to me by an American friend as we traded music from each others countries! At the time I had no idea that some of the members were in Operation Ivy but I soon caught on thanks to MRR.

What did I think?

This was a cracking release back in the day as it came about when both punk and ska seemed to have become repetitive. From the opening moments I was drawn to the band’s sound which blew my mind! Vocals were growled along to some cracking bass lines and guitar riffs with a cool as fuck drummer keeping it all in time!

in 2024 this self titled EP has been released on all streaming sites and still sounds as kick ass as it did back in early 90’s. If you’ve not heard it then check it out especially for the Fall Back Down track that would be considered a master piece if it had been recorded by Operation Ivy!
