Collision Course are an UK82 influenced band made up of former members of Chineapple Punx, Oi Polloi and Statement. If I am to describe them imagine One Way System meets early Abrasive Wheels with some Oi Polloi thrown in there for good measure!

What do I think?

This is pretty much bang on though I am looking forward to hearing it on vinyl which is due out in late June / July. I’m not sure how many tracks are on the official release as I have ten tracks though Rat sent me a list of eleven tracks!

Musically and vocally this record captures the spirit of the UK 82 punk sound but with more energy. I swear there’s not one filler on here and every track is a winner!

From the opening moment of Landfill you’re then grabbed by the throat and taken back in time to the hey days of 1982 albeit for the spell of the album. The title track Collision Course almost punched its way through my speakers along with Entropic Parasite, No Way Out and Horrendous Consumerism!

I honestly can’t praise this record enough. The production is bang on and more importantly this recording albeit DIY captures every member doing their bit to make this a fantastic record!

This self-titled record is certainly up there with some of the best music I’ve heard in 2024!
