During Lockdown in the UK I spent a lot of time communicating with other people and talking about new / up and coming artists. A friend of mine from California mentioned Emily Wolfe and what I found I really enjoyed!

Roll on two years and I discover Emily is touring with the mighty Gaslight Anthem so I tracked down an agent and tonight I found myself in the company of Emily for an interview.

Once the interview was sorted it was time to sort out my camera settings for Emily’s set.

8pm arrives and its time for Emily and her band to hit the stage! If the truth be known I wasn’t sure if a three-piece rock act would work in this 3000 capacity venue!

I didn’t have to wait long and the moment Emily Wolfe and her band hit the stage their powerful rock sound could be heard in all four corners of the venue. My mouth dropped opening noy expecting so much power from this American three-piece!

Emily is no standard rock n roll artist. Her influences range from the 70’s to the present day and those influence can be heard throughout the set. Not one filler either! Just well played hard rock n roll that needs to be heard!

The audience are loving Emily Wolfe and that comes as no surprise.

Emily and her band are talented and for 45 minutes almost 3000 people were treated to some of the best rock songs this century! This band were on a completely different level to most support bands I’ve heard in a long time and I don’t say that lightly!

On what I saw tonight I can’t wait for Emily Wolfe and her band to come back to the UK later on this year to play their own headline slots! This is going to be something not to be missed if rock music is your poison!
