This is the new single / video from one of my favorite UK bands The Duel.
Tara Rez the vocalist and founder of the band just keeps getting better with age and this delivery is something to be proud of!
Imagine an early Siouxsie & The Banshees with a more modern feel with some electronics thrown in and you get the Duel a fantastic band who’ve been releasing music since the early noughties.
Tara Rez’ vocals are cool as fuck and her lyrics delivered with sincerity which are matched by Paul Laventhol’s amazing guitar work which sees both artists feeding off each others talents.
I believe the bass work was undertaken by Segs of The Ruts / Ruts DC and this adds to this song’s charm!
All the ingredients thrown in has seen a fantastic song be released here and I for one now want an album’s worth of numbers like Rule The World.
If you haven’t tuned in to The Duel you’ve certainly been missing out so make sure this is track that steers you in the direction of a great London-based band!
