This Sunderland based band were on my radar for bands to check out but Mick Hall beat me to it by contacting me.
What did I expect?
To be fair I wasn’t expecting something this good and I don’t say that lightly either! It’s not every often I play the same album back to back for days like I did with this ten track album!
From the opening track ‘New State’ this album is full on punk rock with tunes that are sadly missng from todays scene. Just have a listen to the likes of ‘From The Suburbs To The Front Line’, ‘Punk Rock In Our Veins’ and ‘What’s Wrong People’. Just have a listen and try telling me you don’t like this album!

Seriously though I think UK Dissent are worthy of a listen. They aren’t original and they’ll never be on Top Of The Pops but who cares when they’re producing tunes to pogo too!
Production wise isn’t bad and my only complaint would be the packaging. Get the lyrics printed and get folk singing along but apart from that this three-piece deserve a listen so whay you waiting for?! 8/10
