This is the lastest offering from Jim Gee & The Revolution. Released at the beginning of 2022 I was ensured by the man himself that they were bigger than the Sex Pistols, Clash and Ramones and audiences were begging them to do more gigs!
Now you’d think this album would be something special right?
No I’ve painfully sat through all the tracks and after that Rishi Sunak needs to knight me for services to dreadul music. I’ve heard some madness in my time but this is by far the worst thing I’ve ever heard! In fact my two year old nephew makes a better racket than this!
There’s 22 tracks in all and while the opening number ‘Destitute & Dirty’ starts off ok the album rather quickly diminishes dowhill very fast. ‘Burning The Flag’ is all over the place both lyrically and musically! ‘End Of Wars’ makes the Crass Bullshit Detector compilatiions sound like punk rock classics.
‘Jah Almighty’ you would have thought would be dub / reggae influenced yet it sounds like Jim has done a few hits of crack cocaine with a bottle of cheap cooking sherry in the mix – In other words fucking awful!
There it goes further downhill. You wouldn’t want to wish this album on your worst enemy its that awful. Even the production is bad and sounds like its been recorded on to a phone while they played in the kitchen!
Don’t believe Jim Gee’s hype – Worst thing I’ve ever heard and that’s saying something positive! -100/10
